Teresa's Cert. IV is "DONE & DUSTED" ... now it's time to rest & reconnect with friends Down Unda

Teresa enjoying a spectacular sunset over Byron Bay

Hello my friends & family,

Sorry it's been a longer than I intended to put this next posting up ... I've been wanting to share more upbeat news about my "paws" but things have been on somewhat of a delay ...

It's taking longer to get in to this new podiatrist than I had hoped (no cancellations last week) and now I am up in northern NSW again at Nan & Hugh Nicholson's farm near Nightcap National Park, which is also a World Heritage Site ... http://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/parks.nsf/parkContent/N0062?OpenDocument&ParkKey=N0062&Type=xo.

It's 30 degree weather here during the day now, much hotter than just 2 months ago & the evenings aren't nearly as cold through the night either, staying around 10 degrees or warmer, instead of a few degrees above freezing.

I am now at the top of the waiting list for Hugh's highly recommended podiatrist. Sooooooo, I am requesting ALL of your positive energy to focus on me getting in to see Dr. Tom this week through whatever act of nature or kindness that opens up an appointment for me to see him. There were some pretty serious hail storms last week here before I arrived which led to a few cancellations, but the 31 degree Celsius temperatures today are not likely to cause any similar changes in appointments ... but you never know.

Here's a few pic's from my time here at Terania Creek back in August ...

view from Nan & Hugh's verandah where I get to sleep while I am here :)

more of the splendid rainforest views from the verandah ...

here's where I'll be sleeping each night after moving the bed over to this corner ... where I'll be serenaded by frogs and various other rainforest chirpers and the rustling leaves when the wind comes up ...

At any rate, I managed to persevere with finishing up my Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation, YIPPEE!! I got my last assignment in last week & prior to that, my final practical sign-offs. I did my final abseil & climbing anchor set-ups during the Vision Australia course. What an amazingly keen and inspiring group of young adults. It was a real treat to connect with them on the various days I helped Tanya & Cathy with some of the back-up duties on this course :)

I'll post pic's from this course once I get my 'puter to properly download my pic's ... been having a few small challenges with iPhoto of late ...

Byron Bay sunset (August 2007)

I'll sign off for now, daybreak happens ~ 5 a.m., the sun is up over the hillsides ~6:30 a.m. & the chooks (chickens) will be eager to scurry out of their chook house to do their "free ranging" thing for the day. I let them out at ~ 6:30 a.m. this morning.

More to follow as well on my travel plans for bouncing about the Land of Oz & for returning back to the Great White North.

Wishing an abundance of "hotto suru" ... to relax because you have taken a deep breath to ALL of you ... as I enter into my 2 weeks of "hotto suru" peace here at Terania Creek :)

Be well,

Teresa

p.s. Happy Birthday to you Susan & Tracey ... Sandra D. ... Uncle Jerrold ... Simon A. & Claire D. :)

Warmest congratulations, Teresa Bean! We knew you could do it!

I have a line on a Outward Bound employment opportunity here in North America. I took a course this week and the facilitator taught with Outward Bound for 18+ years and still has contacts in the CO & UT offices. I have his information, if you want to pursue this further.

In the meantime, enjoy your time in Australia with the warmer temperatures and in a less stressful environment.

love j&e
